"Cemetery Park"
Music & Lyrics by,

Hello, my name is Brian Bringelson (23, college student) and I live in Thousand Oaks. About five years ago, a friend of mine took me for a walk in
what he called "an odd park". So we were walking around and then out of
nowhere he points to a headstone (flush marker) and I just couldn't believe
it. He then told me the whole story as far as he knew it.
From that point on, I became so interested in the history of this cemetery
and how it came to be in the state it is now. Flash forward to today and the
same friend and I started talking about it again and I
decided to do some research and i came across your site, which honestly blew
my mind.
Amazing research and really really shocking facts.
Anyway it inspired me to write a song about Cemetery Park. As I was thinking
about what to say in it, I decided to write it from the point of view of
someone that had a loved one in the cemetery. I also decided to try and let
people know that this is NOT right what has happened and that they should
try and help to make it right in whatever way they can.
So I also included what I thought were some main facts such as the
headstones ending up in Hall Canyon & washing away to sea etc.
Anyway I've attached it here (as a Mp3) so you can listen. In no way am I trying
to sell the song to you or anyone. In fact its yours to do what you would
like
with.
Thank you for all your hard work.
Best of luck,
Brian Bringelson
Lyrics:
Cemetery Park
by Brian Bringelson 2007
It doesn't make sense to me she said,
all my friends around me now are dead
and they're not smiling
and they're not laughing
in Cemetery Park.
All their stones were dumped beside the sea,
it doesn't sound right at all to me
and where's your heart at?
What were they thinking,
at Cemetery Park?
And the people don't have names,
they just lie there,
the names are in Hall Canyon.
Do you care?
Cause someone needs to,
so why not you?
All my friends around me now are dead
and they're not smiling
and they're not laughing
in Cemetery Park.
All their stones were dumped beside the sea.
It doesn't sound right at all to me
and where's your heart at?
What were they thinking
at Cemetery Park?
