Ventura Signal, March 27, 1880 Mrs. Snodgrass & Mrs. Borgstrom Two ladies of our town, Mrs. A.J. Snodgrass & Mrs. Chas. Borgstrom, have taken on themselves the great task of getting money with which to put our cemetery on the hill in decent condition. The ladies have worked hard and we are pleased to note have worked successfully. They deserve great credit , for this is something which should have been done long ago by this town. We all should take a great interest in seeing that the last resting place of our friends and relatives should be properly cared for. Our cemetery has long been like a wild field, overgrown with weed and mustard and overrun with squirrels and other wild animals. A vote of thanks should be tendered these ladies, who have, unaided, shown a spirit in their enterprise that others would do well to pattern after. |
